The FHNW uses the Google Analytics web service to receive information about how our website is used. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by cookies is transmitted to a Google server in the USA. Google has its own privacy policy.

Remarketing and tracking
The FHNW uses the Google Marketing Platform (GMP), Sizmek and Dataxu to display user-relevant advertising. These platforms use cookies. You can disable personalised advertising from Google via Google account settings or block it using a browser plug-in. The opt-in/opt-out status for Sizmek, Dataxu and all common online marketing systems can be viewed and edited via Your Online Choices' cookie management.

Moreover, we use the FHNW Facebook Pixel and the associated remarketing features of the social network Facebook. This allows us to show you targeted, personalised and interest-based advertisements. Facebook matches up this data with your personal Facebook user account in line with its Data Policy.

If you would like to prevent Facebook from showing you advertisements using the remarketing features, you can declare this in your Facebook account settings. Alternatively, you can deactivate this feature for the FHNW website using the cookie restriction referenced above.
